It's fun to shop in CVS and Walgreens because of their Extra Care Bucks (ecb) and Register Rewards (RR) program. However, these ecb's and RR's cannot be used to buy tobacco, alcoholic drinks and stamps! So when I need to submit my mail-in-rebates to certain manufacturers, I have to buy my own stamps. Then I found this post from Carrie of Money Saving Methods about Stamps.com! Thanks to her I have not paid for my stamps for the last 3 months.
Read on Carrie's post here for a more detailed explanation on how to sign up.
I started my Stamps.com free trial last October 3, 2008 and started with $5 in my account. Then I received the Stamps.com starter kit with the net stamps sticker where you can print the stamps..
So I downloaded the software from the site and installed it and explored it. It was nice and I got to print 11 stamps worth $0.42 each, so I was left with $0.38 in my account. Before my next billing date came, I called Stamps.com customer service (888-434-0055) to cancel my free trial. The nice lady told me that if I would decide not to cancel, she would waive the monthly fee for me and give me another $5 in my account. Of course, I accepted the offer. So I marked my planner and my phone calendar for the next billing date so that I can cancel the membership before I get billed.
Yesterday, November 26, I called Stamps.com again to cancel the free month that they have given me and voila, I was given another FREE month to continue my membership and another $5 in my account! I just got so excited 'coz I love free stuff and FREE stamps are waaay better!
So, if you would like to get started with your free stamps, sign up here. And if you happen to really like the service, go ahead and ask for a lower monthly rate that will suffice your postal needs. They would surely accommodate your requests.

It pays to compliment a manufacturer of a product that you love. Here's why... I got home last night and found a box outside my door and to my surprise, I got these:
a free AriZona cap and T-shirt! How? Well, I have been drinking AriZona green tea and I just love it!!! So I sent an email to AriZona Tea thru their website and told them how much I thank them for a very refreshing product. I didn't even ask for coupons or whatsoever, I just told them that I love their product ('coz I really do!).
They replied to me and told me that they love hearing from satisfied customers. And after a week, *tada!!!*, I received my gift from them.
So, if you're in love with a product, let the manufacturer know!
What are you waiting for? Look inside your pantry and give some compliments to your most loved products and you'll never know what could be waiting outside your door :)
